The EDU-GC is one instrument from the successful series of Trap and Thermal Desorption solutions from AIRSENSE optimized for operations with standard laboratory gas chromatographs.
The enrichment and desorption unit works fully automatically. Easy coupling to all gas chromatographs and to the different adsorbents make the EDU-GC a very flexible system.

This autonomous device is able to gather, desorb, inject and clean for multiple cycles automatically. Through the adsorption process it is possible to concentrate organic compounds or a range of analytes by separating them from common interfering substances. Depending on the parameters of analysis and the target substances it is possible to improve on detection limits to a certain extent.

An additional advantage for analysis with gas chromatographs is that common interfering compounds, like water in environmental probes, can be extracted almost completely from the sample. A number of variants of this unit are available.

An additional advantage for analysis with gas sensor instruments (like PEN) is that common interfering compounds and/or compounds with a neutral smell, like water, methane or ethanol, can be almost completely extracted from the sample.

Intelligent Chemical Sensor for identification of gases and vapours

The PEN, also called E-Nose, is our small, fast and robust identification system for gases and gas mixtures. The detection of the gases is performed with an array of gas sensors.
Single compounds or mixtures of gases can be identified, after a training stage, by using the pattern generated from the sensors.

Using various algorithms, the instrument is able to identify up to 10 different compounds, or provides a straightforward answer like “Good-Bad”, “Yes-No” depending on the needs of the user. The instrument can also deliver a quantitative statement.

Because of its particular sampling strategy our detector can be operated in the laboratory, or in mobile applications in the environment as well as online for process control applications.

The AIR FOG CASE is a mobile and automatically operating disinfection tool that supports
the operator to get back to standard operating procedures as quickly as possible by
disinfecting areas that are contaminated by viruses, bacteria or fungus.
It supports chlorine based disinfectants, Hydrogen peroxide or acetic acids. This allows
maximum flexibility in combating the identified contamination effectually.
The AIR FOG CASE has been designed with highest ease of use and maximum utility in mind.
Little to no training is required to operate the device, the quick start guide and display
instructions are enough to start the disinfection procedure immediately.

The GDA-F allows a quick and safe chemical inspection of import containers.

The GDA-F is a portable detector which is operated directly at the container and is able to respond within seconds if dangerous concentrations of hazardous chemical substances are detected there.

The GDA-F comprises a Hybrid Sensor Array, meaning that the detection will occur simultaneously through several sensors. By using the different sensors it is possible to obtain the necessary broad range for measuring the necessary chemicals. For example, it is possible to detect very light and hazardous chemicals like chlorine gas, phosphine or hydrogen cyanide, among others, as well as more complex organic gases like chloropicrin or benzene. This is something that no other type of detector can do on its own.

Through intensive studies with users from customs and logistics, optimized procedures on how to set up and operate the instrument have been developed. Important features of the instrument are easy handling and output, the speed of measurement and the ability for continuous supervision during unloading procedures. The high level of safety achieved by GDA-F is fundamental to win the confidence of the users.

The GDA-S is a continuously operating chemical agent detection system. It is used to monitor sensitive public structures, buildings and workplace areas.

In addition to selectively handling chemical warfare agents (CWAs) our reliable GDA technology also identifies a range of hazardous and less hazardous volatile compounds. The GDA technology offers the possibility of detecting a very broad range of compounds in the gaseous phase.

The non-stop monitoring capability and broad detection range of the GDA-S provide a high level of security.

The GDA-X is the newest addition to our successful GDA series. The GDA-X has the same scope of work as the GDA-FR, which is able to detect chemical substances and dangerous gaseous compounds, with an improved mode of operation for detecting slow-evaporating substances including many explosives. The explosive detection mode of the GDA-X provides a quick analysis of samples which are taken with a special wipe sampling pad from suspicious items within a few seconds. For this mode the X-TOOL is attached to the front in which slow-evaporating substances desorb into gaseous state for analysis. Furthermore there is an additional equipment option for the GDA-X: a X-ray and gamma detector (Geiger counter). This upgrade mainly serves to prevent human losses during nuclear events. By upgrading the GDA-X with the Geiger counter detection of high-energy radiation (X- and γ-radation) as well as a broad range of dangerous substances with only a single analytical instrument is possible. Our GDA-X instruments are mostly used at major events, including the Turin Winter Olympic Games in 2006, the 2007 G8 Summit at Heiligendamm, Expo China 2010, the Sochi Olympic Winter Games in 2014, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, ensuring the safety of participants and visitors.

Portable detector for first response units offering detection and identification of chemical hazardous gases results within seconds Due to its unique patented combination of different sensors the GDA-FR is able to detect and identify a very broad range of chemical substances in the range ppm – ppb. The GDA-FR comprises a combination of various sensors: an ion mobility spectrometer (IMS), a photo ionization detector (PID), two semiconductor gas sensors (MOS) and an electrochemical cell (EC). As a result, it not only enhances the ability to detect a wider range of compounds, but also improves the substance identification capability through combined evaluation of all sensors. With this capability it is a suitable detector for situations where no prior knowledge of leaking chemicals is available. With its simple method of operation the GDA-FR is used as a general detector, checking every second for potential chemical risks and informing the operator. The powerful tool which will definitely reduce the total downtime of your aircraft The aerotracer is used to support the ground maintenance staff of airlines and to detect Oil smell in cabin / cockpit (fume events). It is a joint product of the companies AIRSENSE Analytics and Lufthansa Technik. The aerotracer, within a few seconds, allows detection and identification of common volatile compounds used in connection with aircraft, for example hydraulic fluids or lubricating oils, and is sensitive enough to rate odor concentrations on a sensing scale. With help of the aerotracer it is possible to shorten trouble shooting times significantly, saving on manpower and costs. The aerotracer is currently in use with various airlines, aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, MRO-shops and maintenance providers.

The GDA-P is a compact portable detector offering detection and identification of chemical warfare agents, chemical hazardous gases and toxic industrial compounds within seconds. Especially designed for the enhanced personal protection in potentially dangerous environments. The simultaneous detection with the integrated IMS and either an EC or a PID provides a high level of safety by detecting a wide range of CWA‘s and TIC‘s. Depending on the current threat the GDA-P shows name and concentration. Up to two chemicals are indicated from the current sensor information. A bar graph quickly informs about the current chemical load in sampled air. LED lights at the top indicate the current alarming status without the need for operator interference. Acoustic alarming is integrated. The self-cleaning mode of the GDA-P allows the instrument to be ready for the next measurement, without interruption time.
